FAQs
1. How do you price a project and what’s the average price for a project?
When making an estimate on a project, the customer will usually get a price for the whole package, calculated on the amount of time, work, and details. Some projects are calculated by an hour price if it’s too difficult for me to calculate the time of work within.
It’s difficult to tell the average price of a project since it’s all a matter of how many details the customer wants and how big the project is. If you have a specific project in mind don’t hesitate to reach out.
2. What’s included in the package price?
In the estimate, you’ll see that the price includes:
— Correspondence, throughout the whole process.
— 3D modelling / editing
— Texture mapping
— Light setting
— Low-res renderings, delivered during the process
— 3 x high-res renderings, delivered as the final result
3. The price seems too expensive — can you describe it?
When it comes to pricing a project it’s essential for the customer to think about the amount of money to spare by getting a visualisation of a specific reconstruction project and not just moving fast forward and spending money on materials that might be a regret. Some customers might find it difficult to imagine a room before seeing the result in the end. Therefore, the visualisation is a great opportunity to get a look at ideas and be sure to make the right choices about colors, materials, etc. before moving forward in the progress and not making regrets.
4. What’s the timeline for a project?
It depends on the amount of work in that specific period but usually around 7-9 days. If there are lots of details in which I have to 3D model myself it usually takes a little longer but you can always ask when getting an estimate.
5. What’s needed to begin the project?
When the estimate has been accepted for a project I usually need the floorplan of the specific room to begin the process of modeling. If there’s any 3D file(s) available such as a SketchUp file or .fbx/.obj file(s) of the room/products it will make the process faster. Then make sure to make an overview or a mood board referring to the specific style or products which you want to incorporate into your interior project.
6. Is it possible to get a view of the project during the process?
Yes, sure! I always make sure to send low-res renders during the process to make sure that the customers are pleased with lights, colors, and the of course the basis of the project.
7. Do you have any job openings or internships?
At the moment, Tendens Studio is a one-man studio which means I don’t have any co-workers, job openings or internships.
8. I need specific formats for the renderings — will that be possible?
Yes! You choose the format of the renderings.
